What are the similarities and differences between PFA and PTFE?

   The essential difference between YOZONETECH PFA tube and PTFE tube is that the materials they use are also very simple to distinguish between the two plastic materials. From its appearance, PFA is translucent, and PTFE is pure white and opaque;

   In summary, PFA plastic is a blend of a small amount of perfluoroethylene ether and Teflon, which is characterized by increased melt adhesion, reduced solute viscosity, and no change in performance compared with Teflon. The resin can be directly processed into products by ordinary thermoplastic molding methods, and is suitable for the production of corrosion-resistant parts, wear-resistant, seals, insulation and medical equipment parts, high-temperature wires, cable insulation, anti-corrosion equipment, sealing materials, pump valve bushings, Chemical containers, etc.

   The long-term temperature of YOZONETECH PFA is -196-260 degrees. It has excellent chemical resistance and corrosion resistance of all chemicals. It has the lowest friction coefficient among plastics and has good electrical properties. Its electrical insulation is not affected by temperature. Influence, its chemical resistance is similar to Teflon, better than perfluoroethylene.

   In addition, PFA's creep resistance and compressive strength are better than PTFE, with high tensile strength and elongation of 100-300%. And has good wear resistance, excellent radiation resistance, flame retardancy up to V0 level, made of PFA tube also has the above excellent performance.

   Polytetrafluoroethylene is a material that is resistant to acids and alkalis, various organic solvents, and is almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, PTFE has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, and its friction coefficient is very low, so it can be lubricated and become an ideal coating for easy cleaning of the inner layer of water pipes.

   Experiments by YOZONETECH scientists have proved that PTFE can withstand atmospheric aging, radiation and low air permeability, and its surface and performance remain unchanged after long-term exposure to the atmosphere. It also has acid resistance, so it is insoluble in strong acids, strong bases and organic solvents. The performance of the plastic pipe made of this material should not be too bad, after all, the raw material has the above characteristics.
