Notes:

1. SILCON stands out for its exceptional flexibility and ability to withstand extreme temperature variations. It also possesses good electrical properties and is self-extinguishing, making it an excellent choice for use in appliances and thermal sleeving.

2. Peroxide-cured SILCON does not contain sulfur or other acid-producing chemicals, ensuring that it does not stain, corrode, or deteriorate materials it comes into contact with. It also exhibits high resistance to ozone and U.V. exposure over extended periods.

3. When selecting fittings and clamps for SILCON, caution is advised. Sharp barbed fittings or unlined metal clamps could potentially damage the tubing wall and lead to failure.

4. SILCON can be low-pressure steam sterilized in-line or autoclaved at temperatures up to 250°F in a regular autoclaving cycle. However, if exposed to repeated steam sterilization or subjected to long-term high temperature or pressure, silicone may eventually relax and become gummy, necessitating replacement.

5. Colors for industrial applications are available for SILCON through minimum order quantities; specific details can be obtained by contacting the supplier.

SILCON is not recommended for implantable or in-body use, or for continuous steam applications.
