Material and Manufacturing Options

The family includes PFA, FEP, PVDF and ETFE resins, processed by extrusion or blown-film methods. The choice of resin and structure determines chemical resistance, release behavior, optical properties and any gas-transmission performance.

Complete Size Specifications

Product form Dimension Range mm Thickness mm
Extruded film or thin sheet Ширина 50-300 0.05-1.5
Blown film Lay-flat width 100-600 0.03-0.25

For blown film, lay-flat width means the width of the flattened tube. It corresponds to the catalog term for folded width and is not a bending diameter. Confirm the tubular, slit or opened delivery form on the order.

Specify roll or cut length separately. The size table covers the material family; confirm the selected resin and process for each width and thickness combination.

Technical Selection Parameters

Параметр Specification to agree

Приложения

Corrosion protection and release layers

Select compatible film for protective or nonstick components where the process medium, temperature and surface requirements are defined.

Transparent components

For transparent parts or protective layers, specify resin, thickness and optical acceptance requirements. Optical performance must be confirmed for the actual film.

Electrical and electronic insulation

Use an appropriately specified film for insulating layers in electrical appliances and electronic assemblies. Define the finished-layer thickness and required dielectric test conditions.

Composite interlayers

Film and thin sheet can serve as interlayers in composite panels. Identify the adjacent materials and the lamination or bonding conditions when requesting the product.

Gas transmission applications

Where ventilation or breathability is required, specify the required permeability and film structure. A general film size or resin name alone does not guarantee a breathable membrane.

Customization and Inspection

Provide the resin, process, thickness, width or lay-flat width, delivery form and quantity. Define length, edge quality, surface condition and dimensional tolerances. Include cleanliness, optical, electrical, permeability or bonding requirements where applicable.

Agree dimensional and visual inspection and any application-specific tests with the order. The size table does not establish a common temperature rating or mechanical-property value for all four resins.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between width and lay flat width

The extruded product is specified by sheet width. The blown-film value describes the flattened tubular film. Confirm the final form before converting or cutting.

Does thin fluoropolymer film always breathe

No. Gas transmission depends on resin, thickness and structure. Supply the required performance and test conditions for selection.

Can the same specification be used for all four resins

Dimensions may overlap, but properties and processing differ. Identify the resin and agree the actual delivery specification.
