Chemical resistance with an elastic core
The composite construction combines the chemical resistance of FEP or PFA with the elasticity of silicone or FKM rubber. It is intended for applications that need both a resistant sealing surface and elastic recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is an encapsulated O-ring the same as a solid PTFE O-ring
No. An encapsulated O-ring has an elastomer core and a thin FEP or PFA jacket. The composite design combines the core’s resilience with the jacket’s chemical resistance; a solid fluoroplastic ring has different deformation and recovery behavior.
How do I specify the correct size
Use ID × cross section as the default format. If ordering by OD × cross section, state that convention explicitly. Include the groove drawing and required tolerances; a cross-section value alone does not define a complete O-ring size.
Can it replace an FFKM O-ring
The catalog identifies replacement of perfluoroelastomer O-rings as a possible application. Suitability must be confirmed for the chemical exposure, temperature, pressure and sealing function; the materials are not universally interchangeable.
What are the operating temperature and pressure limits
