What is FEP pipe? What are the characteristics of FEP pipe and the application of FEP pipe?

FEP pipe is a soluble fluoroplastic pipe, which inherits most of the characteristics of other fluoroplastic pipes (PTFE pipes), and is also easier to form, which can produce long continuous lengths of fluoroplastic pipes. Due to the solubility and ductility of FEP material, various forms of fluoroplastic pipes can be produced. The FEP tube has high transparency and can observe the internal fluid delivery.

Excellent chemical resistance, chemically inert to most industrial chemicals and solvents

Wide operating temperature range, FEP management theoretical operating temperature can reach 200 ℃

Can be manufactured continuously, FEP pipes can be manufactured in continuous lengths of 500 meters or even longer.

Weldable, FEP pipe can be welded at the joint connection due to its solubility

FEP pipe application:

Electronic insulation. FEP pipe has excellent insulation properties and can be used as wire and cable insulation.

Chemical fluid delivery device. FEP pipes are resistant to most chemicals.

Underground sampling water lines. In groundwater analysis, FEP pipes are used to transport water. Due to the extremely high purity of the material, groundwater can be pumped to the surface through a hose without contaminating the object to be measured or affecting the measurement results.

heat shrink tubing. FEP can also be produced as heat-shrinkable tubing and used for paint delivery rollers in printing machinery. High surface quality prevents sticking, contamination and discoloration of the material to be printed.

medical industry. In the medical industry, FEP tubes are mainly used as catheters or in the field of endoscopy. It also prevents contamination of fluids transported during infusion. Therefore biocompatibility is also excellent for FEP in medical applications. FEP can be sterilized by all conventional methods.

Heat Exchanger. Heat exchangers use FEP tubes for long service life and simple welding.

water treatment. Due to its UV resistance and high transmission rate, FEP tubes are ideal for use as UV coils in water purification systems. Permanent exposure to direct UV radiation as water is pumped through the FEP coil. This kills potential bacteria in the water while the FEP tube is unaffected. The pipe wraps around the UV lamp, and the liquid passes through the UV lamp during the cleaning process. This complex manufacturing process allows the final product to deliver significantly increased amounts of water into the radiation's effective area over an extended period of time. The method is also suitable for the purification of polluted industrial water and the treatment of polluted groundwater. Combined with modern filtration technology, drinking water quality can be achieved.
