Classification of PTFE pipe

Classification of PTFE pipes:

1. Polytetrafluoroethylene pipe-B (block copolymer polypropylene) pipe is also commonly known as hot melt pipe because of the use of welding skills in construction. Because of its non-toxicity, light weight, pressure resistance and corrosion resistance, it is becoming a popular material, but it is still used in relatively few decoration projects at present. Generally speaking, this material is not only suitable for cold water pipes, but also for hot water pipes. water pipes, even pure drinking water pipes.

2. Polytetrafluoroethylene pipe-C (modified copolymerized polypropylene) pipe is suitable for cold water pipes as well as hot water pipes and pure water drinking water pipes.

3. Polytetrafluoroethylene pipe-R (random copolymer polypropylene) pipe, suitable for cold water pipes and hot water pipes and pure water drinking water pipes.

The physical characteristics of the PTFE tube-C(B) and the PTFE tube-R are basically similar, the application limits are basically the same, and they can be used interchangeably in the project. The main difference is that the low temperature brittleness resistance of the PTFE pipe-C(B) material is better than that of the PTFE pipe-R; the high temperature resistance of the PTFE pipe-R material is better than that of the PTFE pipe-C(B) .

In practical use, when the temperature of the liquid medium is less than or equal to 5°C, the PTFE pipe-C(B) pipe is preferred; when the temperature of the liquid medium is greater than or equal to 65℃, the PTFE pipe-R pipe is preferred; When the medium temperature is between 5 °C and 65 °C, the performance of the PTFE tube-C (B) and the PTFE tube-R is basically the same.
