Molded extruded and ram extruded PTFE rod stock for machined components

Yozonetech supplies PTFE rods for machining connectors, terminal components, electrical parts, laboratory-instrument components and valve balls. Choose molded, extruded or ram-extruded stock against the required diameter, finished length and machining allowance.

The process ranges below cover rod diameters from 1 to 500 mm, with separate small-diameter specifications down to 0.45 mm. The complete tables retain 42 reference weights per meter and 14 small-diameter coil-length entries. Confirm the selected size, process and supply form with your quotation.

Chemical stability

PTFE provides chemical stability for many industrial environments. Review the actual medium, concentration and temperature against the requirements of the machined component.

Temperature resistance

PTFE rod stock is used where thermal resistance is required. Confirm operating limits for the selected grade, mechanical load and finished part; a material property does not establish an assembly rating.

Machining suitability

Rod stock can be machined into component shapes. Specify sufficient diameter and length allowance, finished tolerances, surface finish and inspection requirements on the part drawing.

Lubricity

The lubricating character of PTFE is useful for components where reduced surface drag is required. Evaluate friction, wear and deformation under the actual operating load.

Weather and aging resistance

PTFE provides weather and aging resistance for appropriately specified components. Define the external environment and service conditions for material selection.

Weight and Supply Selection

Use the diameter and process range together to choose the stock. Reference kg/m values support preliminary quantity and shipping estimates; they are not guaranteed acceptance weights for every grade or production lot. Confirm the actual supplied length, material specification and packed weight with the order.

The weight table covers diameters from 5 to 260 mm, while the molded-process range extends to 500 mm. A diameter absent from the weight table can be reviewed separately for availability and reference weight.

Dimensional Requirements

Specify nominal diameter, diameter tolerance, ovality, straightness, finished length, length tolerance and machining allowance. If the supplied stock will be machined, include the final part drawing and surface-finish requirements.

Agree dimensional inspection and any density, mechanical, electrical or material-documentation requirements for the selected rod. Finished-part load, temperature, wear and deformation requirements must be evaluated for the actual geometry and grade.

The small-diameter table extends beyond the separately listed 1-4 mm extruded-rod process range, including 0.45, 0.8, 4.2, 4.5, 5.0 and 6.0 mm entries. These records are preserved as additional supply specifications; confirm the production process and coil form for the selected size.

Cut Lengths and Custom Rods

Request a custom supplied length or further length processing to suit your part drawing. Include diameter, length, tolerances, quantity, end finish and packaging. For small-diameter material, state whether a coil or straight lengths are required.

For a machined part, specify the final geometry and required material grade. We can review the stock dimensions and production route against the drawing before confirming the quotation.

Connectors and terminal devices

PTFE rod stock can be machined into connector and terminal components. Define the fitting geometry, dimensional tolerances and any electrical requirements.

Electrical components

Machined insulating and protective components can be reviewed against the required voltage performance, component geometry, wall dimensions and operating environment.

Laboratory instrument parts

PTFE rods provide stock for instrument components, including parts for flow restriction or clamping. Specify the fluid, cleanliness, precision and connection requirements for the finished part.

Check valve balls and valve components

Rod stock can be selected for machining valve balls and related parts. Review seat geometry, pressure, temperature, fluid compatibility and dimensional stability for the assembly.
