El FEP es la copolimerizaci\u00f3n de tetrafluoroetileno y hexafluoropropileno. El contenido de hexafluoropropileno es de aproximadamente 15%. Es un material modificado del politetrafluoroetileno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(3) El FEP tiene menor cristalinidad, menor punto de fusi\u00f3n y mejor procesabilidad que el PTFE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En qu\u00edmica, la estructura determina las propiedades, y la estructura afecta a la cristalizaci\u00f3n. Cuanto m\u00e1s simple sea la estructura qu\u00edmica de la cadena polim\u00e9rica, mayor ser\u00e1 la simetr\u00eda de la cadena y menor el sustituyente, m\u00e1s flexible ser\u00e1 la cadena molecular y m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil ser\u00e1 su cristalizaci\u00f3n.
